Who we are

Helsinki Online is made and run by Albedo Delight Oy (Business ID 3641382-7), PL 999, 42011 YRITYSLOKERO, Finland. Contact: [email protected]. In these terms, "we" means Albedo Delight Oy and "you" means the player.

The game

Helsinki Online is an online game set in Helsinki, played in the browser, on Steam and on Android. Central Helsinki is free to play; the Citizen and Supporter editions are one-time purchases that open the whole city. The game is in early access: it changes often, things can break, and we may add, change or remove features, places and items. The servers may sometimes be down for updates or faults.

By playing you agree to these terms. If you play through Steam or another store, that store's terms apply too.

Age

You must be at least 13 to play online. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy anything.

Your account

Keep your login to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, rented or shared.

Purchases

• Prices are shown in euros including VAT before you pay.
• Purchases are sold by our reseller, who is the seller of record and is named at checkout and on the receipt. The reseller's own terms apply to the payment.
• Citizen and the Supporter Edition are one-time purchases. There is no subscription and nothing renews. What you buy stays on your account for as long as the game runs.
• The early-access price will rise at full release. A price change never affects what you have already bought.
• Items, outfits and in-game money have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to other players outside the game's own features.

How to behave

Be decent to other players. You may not:

• harass, threaten, bully or impersonate others, or post hateful, sexual or violent content;
• cheat, use bots, exploit bugs on purpose, or modify or attack the game, its servers or other players' connections;
• spam, advertise, or sell accounts, items or services;
• share other people's personal information.

We may remove content, mute, suspend or close accounts that break these rules. For serious or repeated breaches this can happen without warning, and purchases on a closed account are not refunded unless the law requires it.

Things you make

Journeys, builds, homes and other things you create in the game stay yours. By publishing them in the game you let us host, show and share them inside the game and in Helsinki Online videos and posts, and let other players play and remix them in the game. Don't publish things you don't have the rights to. We may remove creations that break these terms.

If the game ends

If we ever shut Helsinki Online down, we will announce it at least 60 days before and stop selling purchases in the meantime.

Responsibility

We do our best to keep the game running and safe, but it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data or interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Finnish or EU law.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Please contact us first; we'll try to sort it out. Consumers in Finland can also take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi), and consumers in other EU countries can use their own national consumer bodies and courts.

Changes

We may update these terms as the game grows. If a change matters, we tell you in the game or by email before it applies.
